Installations based on a site-specific research project
Three Installations, Video (2 min 41 sec), Collected Glasswares.
The collections are based on the research about the floods cause by the river Le Tarn in the city of Albi, France.
The essential element of the all three installations are derived from a collection of dried mud tiles left by a recent flood in the basement of Le Centre d’art le LAIT in Albi, France.
One of the installation consists of various glass containers that were collected from the people who had been impacted or experienced by floods near the river. The painted dried mud tiles were placed in the containers filled with water, with the dried mud slowly disintegrates itself from the white paint, leaving the paint which retains the original shape afloat.
This project took place during my residency with Le Centre d’art le LAIT which is part of ETAC | Espai Transfronterer d'Art Contemporani, an
artist residency grant funded by the Pyrenees–Mediterranean Euroregion.
